NDRL Super Late Models Winter Series – Race Recap
11th Annual Buckeye Spring 50
Tuesday, March 3rd – Limaland Motorsports Park (Lima, OH)
The NDRL Super Late Models Winter Series rolled into Limaland Motorsports Park Tuesday night for the 11th Annual Buckeye Spring 50, and the fans were treated to an action-packed night of dirt racing as drivers battled it out for 50 laps and a $15,000 (fake) payday.
A solid field of 12 Super Late Models signed in to compete on the high-banked Ohio dirt oval. When qualifying wrapped up, it was Timothy Measamer laying down the fastest lap of the night to earn Quick Time and set the tone for the evening.
The drivers then battled it out in two 8-lap heat races to determine the starting lineup for the big show.
Heat Race #1 Winner: Timothy Measamer
Heat Race #2 Winner: Wesley Gwaltney
With the stage set, the field rolled out for the 50-lap Buckeye Spring 50 A-Main with Timothy Measamer and Wesley Gwaltney bringing the field to the green flag. As the green dropped and the pack thundered into Turn 1, Measamer powered around the outside and grabbed the early lead coming off Turn 2.
Measamer controlled the race early, leading the opening six laps, but the battle was just getting started. Wesley Gwaltney soon found his rhythm and stormed past for the lead while Jeremy Steele joined the fight. The two drivers put on a show for the fans, trading slide jobs and battling side-by-side in a thrilling duel for the top spot.
Just when it looked like the race might stay between Gwaltney and Steele, Barrett Bishop came charging through the field. Bishop found the fast line around Limaland and made his move for the lead, taking control and beginning to pull away from the pack.
Meanwhile, Wesley Gwaltney slipped back as far as sixth place, but the fight wasn’t over. With about 10 laps remaining, Gwaltney began carving his way back through traffic and climbed all the way to second place, setting his sights on Bishop.
Lap after lap Gwaltney closed the gap, but the clock ran out.
When the checkered flag waved after 50 laps, it was Barrett Bishop standing tall in victory lane, capturing his second straight win on the NDRL Tour in impressive fashion.

Next Race – Season Finale
The NDRL Super Late Models Winter Series now heads toward its biggest event of the season.
On Tuesday, March 10th, the tour will travel to Fairbury Speedway for the 13th Annual Illini 100 Season Finale. Drivers will battle for 100 laps and a massive $25,000 to win (fake) payday.
The Illini 100 has seen strong champions in recent years:
2025 Winner: Ethan Toedter
2024 Winner: Clifford Driskel
The question now is — will one of those past champions defend their crown, or will a new driver rise to the challenge and close out the season in victory lane?
One thing is certain… the season finale at Fairbury is shaping up to be an absolute showdown.
We have a situation in our Points. Your Points Leader Timothy Measamer will not be at the Season Finale so yes Timothy will get show up points which is 70 Points. Now Clifford Driskel is in 2nd so for Example Clifford Driskel would have to be near perfect on Tuesday like Fast Time in Hot Laps, Qualifying. Have to finish either 1st in Heat race and would have to win the race and Clifford Driskel would have a 2 point lead and will win his 22nd Championship. Now if Clifford finished 2nd in the heat Clifford would have a 1 point lead so YES it will be a close battle. Can Timothy Measamer hold on and pick up his 1st Title with Simfans.

AJ Crews wins a Thriller

🏁 Gamble 50 Recap – All-Star Late Models West Series
Las Vegas Bullring
Monday, March 2nd – The All-Star Late Models West Series rolled into the desert and unloaded at the fast and tricky Las Vegas Bullring for the Gamble 50, and while the field may have been small, the action was anything but.
Five Late Model Stocks showed up ready to battle under the bright lights of Vegas. When it came time to lay down a lap in qualifying, AJ Crews showed he meant business—clicking off a flyer to set Quick Time and earning the top starting spot for the 50-lap showdown.
🔥 50 Laps. No Cautions. All Pressure.
When the green flag dropped, AJ Crews and Timothy Measamer led the field into Turn 1. Crews powered off Turn 2 with the early advantage, but this was no runaway.
From the very first lap, Measamer and AJ Hyatt stayed glued to Crews’ rear bumper. Lap after lap, the top three ran nose-to-tail in a high-speed chess match around the tight 3/8-mile oval. No cautions. No breaks. Just pure, intense, short-track racing.
As the laps wound down, the pressure mounted.
Coming to the white flag, Measamer made one last charge. He dove it deep into Turn 1, trying to rattle Crews and steal the spotlight in the final corners—but Crews stayed smooth, hit his marks, and never gave an inch.
Out of Turn 4 for the final time, AJ Crews crossed the stripe first, picking up his 4th win of the season in dominant, wire-to-wire fashion.
What a drive. What a statement.
